Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide
The two mineral (physical) UV filters recognized by the FDA. They sit on the skin surface to reflect, scatter, and absorb broad-spectrum UVA/UVB radiation.
Niacinamide
A water-soluble form of vitamin B3 used in cosmetics as a skin-conditioning agent. One of the most widely tolerated actives in modern skincare, commonly formulated between 2–10%.
Hyaluronic Acid
A naturally occurring polysaccharide found in human skin, connective tissue, and joint fluid, used in cosmetics chiefly as a humectant and skin-conditioning agent. In topical products it is almost always the sodium salt (Sodium Hyaluronate) because it is smaller and more water-soluble than pure Hyaluronic Acid.
Dimethicone
A silicone-based polymer used extensively as a skin-conditioning agent, breathable occlusive, and texture-enhancer. CIR reviews it together with methicone polymers.
What should I know?
Apply 1-2 pumps to face with sponge or brush after moisturizer. Sets to a semi-matte airbrushed finish.
