Welcome to Kallign ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using our website, web application, ingredient decoder, product scanner, and related beauty intelligence services (collectively, the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms in their entirety, you are strictly prohibited from using the Service and must discontinue use immediately.

The information, ingredient safety scores, personalized match ratings, and AI-generated insights provided by Kallign are derived from published scientific literature, chemical databases, and cosmetic regulations (including FDA, EU CosIng, CIR, and INCI taxonomies). They are not intended as substitutes for professional dermatological advice or medical consultation.

Individual biological responses to cosmetic ingredients vary significantly based on genetics, allergies, skin microbiome, micro-tears, formulation pH, and environmental factors. Always perform a patch test prior to applying new cosmetic formulations to your skin.

Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you have read, scanned, or calculated on Kallign. In the event of an acute allergic reaction, severe dermatitis, chemical irritation, or ocular exposure, seek emergency medical care immediately.

The Service is designed to comply strictly with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and applicable international youth safety standards.

Visitors under 13 years of age ("Children") are required to obtain verifiable parental or legal guardian consent prior to account creation or profile data storage. We collect a parent's email address and require confirmation before establishing an under-13 profile. Under-13 profiles are restricted from open-text submissions and third-party data transfers.

If you are between the ages of 13 and 17, you represent that you have reviewed these Terms with your parent or guardian and that they consent to your use of the Service.

To access certain personalized features, including your Beauty Profile, historical product matches, and personalized safety scores, you may create an account using email verification or supported single sign-on providers.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or breach of security.

You may permanently delete your account, saved profile parameters, and associated data at any time via the self-service 'Delete Account & Data' control in your Profile settings.

Our optical character recognition (OCR) camera scanner and AI-assisted INCI decoder are assistive analytical tools. While we maintain rigorous parsing algorithms, text extraction from curved packaging, low-contrast labels, or altered product formulations may contain discrepancies.

Manufacturers frequently alter cosmetic formulations without prior notice. You are advised to verify physical product packaging ingredient lists ("INCI") against official brand documentation prior to purchase or application.

The Service, including its proprietary algorithms, Dual-Engine Safety & Match scoring logic, design systems, mascots, graphics, software, compilation of ingredient data, and trademarks ("Kallign", "Beauty Aligned"), is the exclusive property of Kallign and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service strictly for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to reverse engineer, scrape, reproduce, redistribute, or exploit any portion of our algorithms or databases without express prior written consent.

Kallign displays curated product catalogs and live merchant pricing estimates. We do not manufacture, sell, ship, or warrant physical products listed in the marketplace unless explicitly identified as official Kallign merchandise.

Transactions initiated through third-party retail links (e.g., brand websites, authorized retailers) are governed entirely by the terms, shipping policies, return policies, and privacy practices of those respective third-party merchants.

When utilizing the Service, you agree not to:

• •Deploy automated scrapers, bots, crawlers, or data-extraction tools against our ingredient database or pricing APIs without written authorization.
• •Submit fraudulent, defamatory, malicious, or deceptive ingredient lists, ratings, or user information.
• •Circumvent, disable, or tamper with security-related features, authentication protocols, or rate limiters.
• •Impersonate another user, minor, parent, or representative of Kallign.
• •Use the Service to develop competing cosmetic scoring databases through systematic reverse-engineering.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF INGREDIENT COMPATIBILITY SCORES.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KALLIGN, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, ALLERGIC REACTIONS, SKIN IRRITATION, LOSS OF DATA, OR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

We reserve the right to modify, amend, or replace these Terms at any time. When substantial changes are made, we will update the "Last Revised" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Service following any revisions constitutes full acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to your use of the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
